It wasn't until Dana retired as a children's art teacher that she discovered her true passion for painting. Painting in oils, Dana's work has often been described as "slice of life" scenes exploring all types of subject matter. Through her travels, Dana finds beauty in everyday, relatable settings with her goal to capture in paint, a moment in time. The moods are often quiet, sometime surprising The moods are often quiet, sometime surprising, always fleeting.

 

Dana describes painting as a joy saying, "Painting centers me. I am grateful to see the world through the eyes of an artist and hope to share that in a lasting, interesting way with others."
